Smart phones
much like any other tech product are fickle – they keep changing and mostly
keep getting better every year. Android geniuses keep on adding amazing
features and we get to see a shinier interface on our phones every year. Now it
has come to a point that we pretty much can guess what to expect from new
releases every year and it’s always pretty close or even exact. With that in mind,
we have made a list of some of the best flagship devices that will be released
in 2015 in different quarters by major players in the smart phone world:
1. HTC One M9
While the rest
of the android phones are still looking to create some mojo in the camera
department to boost up the level of photography, HTC has made some
groundbreaking innovational changes with its ultra pixels known for taking breathtaking
pictures in the low light environments. HTC One M9 has a 20.7 MP back camera
and a 4 UltraPixel camera on the front for the world-beating selfies in low
light environments if you’re that kind of person.
For those who
look for more than just that in a phone, it has an octa-core Snapdragon 810
processor, 3GB of RAM and a beefed up 2840 mAh battery, which should give it a
lot of life as HTC is sticking to a 5 inch display of 1,920 x 1,080 Pixel, 441
ppi screen rather than using a juice-chugging QHD one.
Keeping the
design, look and feel of HTC One M8 in mind, we have a truck-load of
expectations from HTC One M9 and we are 100% sure that with a record that HTC
has, it’s going to be a pretty phone to have.
2. Samsung Galaxy S6
People at
Samsung finally decided to ditch the plastic build and removable battery that
was a necessary part of the previous Samsung flagship devices. Samsung Galaxy
S6 has finally arrived to the party dressed in sharp metal lines and plenty of
glass.
Samsung Galaxy
S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge are both identical looking phones with both
running Android 5.0 Lollipop and 5.1 inch high resolution display. But the
Galaxy S6 Edge is a bit more noticeable with two curved-glass edges each of
which wrapping the long side of the phone with a smooth and readable display.
When it comes to specs, Samsung Galaxy S6 has Super
AMOLED capacitive touch screen with 5.1 inches display of 1440 x 2560 pixels
(~577 ppi pixel density) with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. It has 16 MP,
2988 x 5312 pixels, optical image stabilization, auto-focus, LED flash and 5 MP
of secondary camera.
The new pair by
Samsung has everything that it takes to be a flagship device but it’s hard to
say as of now what kind of impact it’ll have on the people or how big a dent
it’ll put in the sales.
3. iPhone 6S / iPhone 7
iPhones are
known for the sleek design and extremely optimized performance and Apple does
not disappoint. iPhone 5 had the best camera with quality results and iPhone
6/iPhone6 Plus were not very disappointing either. However, we’re looking
forward for Apple to produce a game changer now.
The invigorated
design of 2014 is not likely to change much in 2015, we are expecting a similar
looking build and screen but what we’re expecting is a major camera upgrade
after HTC caught up to Apple in photography department. Apple is supposedly working
on cameras with DSLR-like quality – we’re hoping that they come up with
something like that.
The processor is
supposed to be a new A9 processor set up to be smaller and more powerful and
much more efficient than A8 in the iPhone 6. Moreover, there’s also a talk of
Apple finally doubling up the RAM to 2 GB.
4. LG G4
Although LG G3
was very impressing and a great phone with a lot less price than the other
phones with more or less same features. LG G4 is rumored to reduce the screen
size to 5.3 inch display and also the bending feature that we saw on LG G Flex
2.
The LG G4 is
likely to have a camera which is a little above 20 MP and there’s also a talk
about a major improvement in the design and an improvement in the battery life
as well. In performance department, we’re expecting an octa-core snapdragon 810
processor and a 3GB of RAM like many other flagship devices in the game.
The phone is
supposed to be released in May so these are the best guesses and here’s a
hoping that it’s every bit of what we are expecting, if not, be better please,
LG.
5. Sony Xperia Z4
It was not long
ago that Sony Xperia Z3 was launched but it’s rumored that Sony Xperia Z4 is
going to be launched sometime this summer. The Xperia Z3’s appealing
OmniBalance design is one of the strongest aspects that favor the phone and it
appears as though Sony won’t be looking to change things too much from what it
is.
It looks like
Sony is taking it to next level when it comes to the specs with a talk of an
octa-core Snapdragon 810, 4GB of RAM and a gigantic 3420 mAh battery and an
improved 20.7MP camera.
Although not a
lot, there’s going to be a change in the design too, the hardware will be
polished here and there rather than improved to be entirely something
different.
6. Samsung Galaxy Note 5
There’s a fair
chance that Samsung Galaxy Not 5 could be the first device with a 4K UHD
display on a 6 inch display. Samsung Galaxy Note 5 does not seem to have any
other card up its sleeve; it has to prove to the world that Note series is the
best for innovations in user interface.
With Samsung
changing the design on its S6 flagship device, it’s also expected that the Note
series will also see a drastic change in design as well.
There’s not much
of talk about this phone as yes as it’s supposed to release in September but
it’s believed that it’s going to be the best phone you’ll ever see on that day.
7. The new Nexus
The new Nexus
can’t name its phone Nexus 7 if Google is even to release the next phone,
there’s almost no talk at all of this phone in the technology world, which
could mean that the Nexus project might not continue and Nexus 6 could even be
the last phone of the whole program. But by any chance if the program is to
continue, more power (the processor, RAM and display) is a must and camera will
be improved to catch up with the flagships of the best players in the tech
world, especially iPhone and HTC. If the program is to continue, we’re hopeful
that keeping the competition in mind, price of the phone will be lower than
other phones with the same features and specs.
8. Microsoft Lumia 1030
Lumia series has
gone from Nokia to Microsoft but we’re still waiting for the successor to the
Lumia 1020 since 2013, the wait might be over sometime this year.
This Microsoft
Lumia 1030 phone is rumored to carry a 50MP camera. 50MP camera with the
Lumia’s camera app alone is worth switching to Windows Phone with no regrets.
Especially when the Windows keeps getting better with every upgrade, these
added hardware upgrades are cherry on the cake. Because of the anticipation of
the major changes going on in the OS that’s called Windows 10, a lot of people
have already switched their allegiance to Windows Phone from Android and iOS.
We’re not aware
of Lumia 1030 a lot, but from what is being talked about we’re sure that it is
worth the wait, especially with the world class camera and a brand new
operating system.
