Top 5 Most Overpriced Tech

We as human beings are programmed to run after things that make us look good in public even if we personally could do better than that. Thereby we see people with shiny crimson and an awesome shade of blue colored headphones with a little b written on them. Most of us are like that, we'll carry around a bag full of garbage if it made people think we're better than them. In the tech game, there are products with a horrible bang for the buck ratio and yet there are people in the world who actually prefer to buy these over a relatively better product with a low cost. Some of these tech products are listed below.

AudioQuest Diamond 2m (6.56 feet) Braided HDMI Cable

Price:$1,494.75

The official definition of an HDMI cable is:

High Definition Multimedia Interface cables carry enormous amounts of high-definition video and uncompressed audio. Numerous internal conductors carry control, audiovisual, copy protection and communication data all along one cable. You can connect two devices with HDMI cables if they both contain an HDMI port.

And that's all it can do, it does not allow you to time travel when you plug it in. It does no open a portal to Asgard. And if you're looking for a cable that will help you take over the world, this is definitely not that.

Printer Ink

Despite the fact that people in general think that the printer industry has been putting a lot of efforts into making really great printers that are efficient, accurate and fast, there are printers in this world which won't let you print a document that only contains text in black color only because your yellow or blue ink ran out. That's all I had to say about the progress they are making. The ink is just...you know..ink. There's nothing high tech about that, there is no unique chemistry in the molecules of the ink. Final word is that it's overpriced.

iPhones

There are only few things I would like to say about it. Apple lacks innovation. It's user interface is getting old. Android is a better choice. People buy it for the logo on the back. The main reason why iPhones have made it to the list is because there are better options available which are more efficient, gives better user experience and are better looking and most importantly cost way less.

Apple Mac Pro

I don't mean to be harsh on Apple but this world is not a place filled with bunnies and rainbows where apples are not poisonous, [no pun intended]. The reason why Apple Mac Pro has made it to the list is only one, that is the availability of a better option called Hackintosh. You can build a better, more powerful and faster Hackintosh which pretty much works same as Mac and save up to $600 dollars which you were willing to give to Apple. Suppose if there weren't anything called Hackintosh and Apple was the only choice, this was not going to be in the list.

Beats Pro Headphone

These are a long string of celebrity endorsed products with Lady Gaga version, Justin Bieber version, Lil' Wayne version and stuff like that. Beats spends a lot of money on the advertisement side of the business which you probably have an idea about, their genius product placement in popular music videos and in concerts really cost a lot and ultimately customer has to pay much more than the real value to cover all the cost. What it gives in return is a kind of satisfaction that comes with buying and rocking a a beats headphones and that's all. They sound like garbage by the way.
